1. About this notice

This notice explains the information handled through fremovebg.com, the website branded Fremovebg. It covers browsing, account access, browser drafts, files you choose to submit, and support requests. The contact address for questions and data requests appears below. Selecting an image creates a local draft. Starting an available processing action submits it for processing. Available credit packages can be purchased through Stripe Checkout.

2. Information you provide

If you sign in with Google, account records can include your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider identifier, authorization tokens and permissions for that connection, and session information. We do not receive your Google password. Files you deliberately upload through an available account feature may contain personal information, as may their names, descriptions, and embedded metadata. Support correspondence includes your email address and whatever you choose to send. Include only information needed for your request.

3. Local drafts and uploaded files

Choosing an image in the public background-removal editor saves the selected file and editing state in browser storage so you can return to your draft. That selection alone does not upload the image for remote processing. An available processing or account-upload action can send files to our servers. Browser drafts are separate from server files, and clearing one does not clear the other. Prepared examples shown on the website are demonstrations, not results generated from your own image.

4. Cookies and technical information

Account cookies maintain your signed-in session. Browser storage also remembers drafts and interface preferences. If guest processing is enabled, a first-party visitor identifier can remember the free allowance for up to one year and associate guest activity with an account when you sign in. Website and hosting requests expose technical information such as IP address, browser details, request time, and response status, which may be used for delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Blocking cookies or storage can prevent sign-in or draft recovery.

5. Why information is used

Account and session information supports authentication and access to your own work. File information supports storage, retrieval, and any processing you request when available. Job and credit records support progress reporting, allowance accounting, failed-job handling, and investigations of errors or abuse. Messages are used to address the issue you raise. Where a legal basis is required, the relevant basis depends on the purpose: providing the requested service, protecting and maintaining the service, complying with legal duties, or consent for an optional activity that requires it.

6. Service providers and disclosure

Cloudflare provides the website hosting and storage infrastructure. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and browser performance to help us understand website reliability. Google handles Google sign-in under its own privacy terms. If you allow analytics through Privacy choices, Google Analytics 4 and our self-hosted Umami measure page visits, interaction identifiers, selected tool categories, processing outcomes and checkout steps using pseudonymous browser identifiers. We do not send image contents, filenames, email addresses, form text or private file links to either analytics platform. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled. Their services necessarily receive information involved in those functions. When you email support, the relevant email services also handle your message. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to investigate misuse and protect people or the service. When you start background removal, selected images are sent to the image-processing provider for your selected option: AIIMG for daily free Fast previews, and Tuzi API for Quality processing with purchased credits when available. Stripe processes credit-package payments and receives account email, order identifiers and payment information. Fremovebg stores payment status, transaction identifiers and credit records; card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page.

7. Storage, retention, and deletion

Local drafts remain in your browser until replaced, cleared, or removed by the browser. Signing out does not by itself clear browser storage. Server files and account, job, credit, and support records are separate; they are not subject to a published blanket 24-hour or 30-day deletion timer. Where an account file has a delete control, use it to remove that file. For other server-side deletion or retention questions, contact support. Clearing a draft or deleting an account should not be treated as confirmation that every stored file, log, or backup has been erased.

8. Your choices and requests

You can accept, reject or withdraw optional Google Analytics and Umami measurement using Privacy choices at the bottom of any page. Rejection does not prevent tool use. Withdrawal stops future analytics and removes this site’s GA cookies; it does not itself erase information already received by the analytics platforms. You can also manage site cookies and storage through your browser, update available account details, and disconnect Google access through your Google settings. Depending on applicable law, you may be entitled to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict, or object to the use of personal information, or withdraw consent for an activity based on consent. Use the contact address below and describe the data or account concerned. We may need information to verify that the request is yours. You can also raise concerns with the relevant data protection authority.

9. Security and location of processing

The website uses HTTPS. Private account files use access controls; authorized administrators may access data for service operations, and a time-limited file link can allow access to its holder. Keep account credentials and private links secure. Hosting and sign-in services may process information in countries other than your own; this notice does not promise storage in a particular country. No online system can guarantee protection against every security incident, so keep your own copies of important files.

10. Children and other people’s information

Use the service only if you meet the eligibility conditions in the Terms of use. Before submitting a photo or other information about someone else, make sure you have the permissions required for the intended use. If you believe a child has provided information without the permission required by applicable law, contact support so the concern can be reviewed.

11. Changes and contact

The date at the top identifies the latest revision of this notice. Changes to the service can require updates to the information described here. Review the current notice before using a newly available feature, particularly remote processing or payment. For questions about your information, use the email address below or the Contact page.
